As a consultant your job is to work within a group of four consultants, an associate manager and project manager to research and deliver a project for the client typically in the NFP sector. This is an unpaid position that requires 4-6 hours a week for 12 weeks and gives you a chance to give back to the community.
Impetus gives you the opportunity to participate in unique workshops hosted by our sponsors from the like of Deloitte, Bain and Protiviti. These workshops empower you with the techniques required to break down problems, analyse data and manage projects.
As a PM or associate PM your role is to manage a project from start to finish. A PM is responsible for mentoring project consultants by communicating the clients issues, empowering them to solve it and organising meetings to work towards the project deliverables. An ideal PM is an organised, has interpersonal skills, attentive to details and must have a solid understanding of consulting frameworks.
The project manager is also responsible for managing client expectations. You are the key stakeholder with your client and have ownership on to tackle the clients problem in the best way possible. A PM must balance between making clients and project consultants happy.
As an executive you will responsible for managing all the action that has kept Impetus running all of these years. There are roles for Directors, Assistant Directors and Officers all of whom have a crucial role in managing projects team, securing clients and sponsors as well as running events like Impetus Academy.
