The main aim is to enhance the quality of immunisation provision and improve the immunisation rate in accordance with the National Immunisation Program (NIP). NIP is the government funded immunisation program and includes childhood and adolescence schedules and adult flu vaccination.

Services available for GPs, nurses and managers

We provide advice and resources to assist with the implementation of RACGP accreditation standard 5.3.2 and NH&MRC guidelines, including :

  • General Practice Immunisation Incentives (GPII)
  • National Immunisation Program (vaccination schedule)
  • New government vaccine programs
  • Vaccine storage (cold chain)
  • Australian Childhood Immunisation Register (ACIR) data.

We also provide educational events to increase both clinical and practice management knowledge and skills on immunisation.
