Program Implementation

In some contracts there are geographical restrictions on service provision. This is particularly the case with our funding from Department of Health & Ageing contracts, which is based on postcodes.

The following principles apply to the organisation’s programs and activities:

• All activities should take account of universal and equitable access principles (this includes vulnerable groups in the community including those of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds)
• Community /consumer participation is to occur at all levels of the organisation’s activities
• Activities should focus on sustainability, that is, our resources should be spent on activities that will continue after the organisation ceases the activity
• Activities should take account of health promotion and prevention, wherever possible
• All activities should be based on the highest standard of practice (reflecting the existing evidence and current best practice).
