Allied Health Aged Care Access

The Aged Care Access Initiative is funded by the Department of Health and Ageing to allow residents of Commonwealth funded Residential Aged Care Facilities access allied health services from external providers that they would not otherwise have access to.

As part of this initiative impetus™ is funding the following services:

• Counselling at the time of admission to a RACF to manage transition / grief / loss of independence issues
• Counselling for depression; and
• Management and assessment of complex behaviour issues.

The funding is provided to Residential Aged Care Facilities and will assist linking allied health providers to specific facilities.
